The Story of Salute Your Shorts

Ep. 230 is live!

Welcome back for another summer installment of Yesterdaze. We’re keeping the camp theme running from last week’s Camp Candy for Nickelodeon’s Salute Your Shorts. I have to admit, I wasn’t WILDLY fond of this show as a kid, mostly because I wasn’t that into live action sitcoms aimed at tweens/teens. Still, it was pretty interesting learning how the show came about, why it wasn’t renewed for a third season, and why douchey execs and Beavis & Butthead are to blame. It was great reminiscing about Sky Lodge with Jason, and even hearing Dustin’s tales of his day camp counselor days. Raddest fact of all was learning of Bad 4 Good, their single Dustin dropped in this episode slaps. Summer trudges on as we build toward a break in recording (but not in releases!), and we hope you all are staying cool. Not much to say or show off this week as this show has ZERO merch, aside from bootleg DVDs. So, in the meantime, sit back, crank the AC, open a cold one, and as always…ENJOY! -Derek
